Olympic Games in London 2012
In 2012, the Olympic Games (usually referred to as the Summer Olympics to distinguish them from the Winter Games) will be held in London.
The event will run from 27th July 2012 to 12th August. In keeping with Olympic tradition, the Summer Olympics will give way to the Paralympics at the same venue from 29th August 2012 to 9th September.
More information about this event you can read there. After meeting with this article you will know some interesting facts about this occasion, like this one:
There are plans to construct a cable car over the River Thames to cut travel times between venues and ease pressure on road and rail transport. The cable car will have the capacity to ferry 2500 persons each hour with each trip lasting just 30 seconds. http://www.gocielo.com/slider/2012-london-olympic-games

John Adams - 2nd President of the United States ( 1797- 1801 )
Short, chubby, and cranky, second president was a hero of the American Revolution for his beliefs in American independence even though he never served a day in the military.
Nickname: His Rotundity, John Adams
Born: 30 October 1735 Birthplace: Braintree, Massachusetts
Died: 4 July 1826
Best Known As: President of the United States, 1797-1801
Spouse: Abigail Smith (1744–1818)
Vice President: Thomas Jefferson of Virginia (1797–1801)
It was extremely interesting for me to read this information about J.Adams'.
There you can get more facts from his: early life, early political career ( Sent (1774) to the First Continental Congress, he distinguished himself, and in the Second Continental Congress he was a moderate but forceful revolutionary. ), diplomatic career ( Adams was one of the negotiators who drew up the momentous Treaty of Paris (1783; see Paris, Treaty of) to end the American Revolution. After this service he obtained another Dutch loan and then was envoy (1785-88) to Great Britain, where he met with British coldness and unwillingness to discuss the problems growing out of the treaty. He asked for his own recall and ended a significant but generally discouraging diplomatic career.), presidency and retirement.
So, I would like to share with you some information, which you can read on this links:

HARVARD, A PRESIDENTIAL TRADITION?
John Adams was the first American president to go to Harvard College, but he has hardly been the last. More American presidents have attended this Cambridge, Massachusetts, institution of higher learning than any other college in the country!
A SIGNIFICANT DATE OF DEATH
John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the same day: July 4, 1826, the fiftieth anniversary of their greatest achievement, the Declaration of Independence. Adams's last words before he died that evening were: “Jefferson still lives.” There was no way he could have known that Thomas Jefferson himself had died earlier that same day!
